Drive launch-day sales from your DMs
About

Send your launch announcement and a link card to the audience you pick, and see who tapped. A DM campaign to copy and edit.

Choose who gets your launch announcement and press send. This Instagram launch campaign template sends each person "The spring drop is out now." and a "Take a look" link card. Everyone who taps goes into the folder "The spring drop: clicked", so you can message them again. It is a DM campaign, sent once to a whole audience.

What does this launch campaign send?

Each person in your audience receives the campaign once.

1. The announcement

The first message is one line: "The spring drop is out now." It is an example. Replace it with your own announcement the day you send it, so the message says what is out and why to look.

2. The link card

Right after the announcement comes a link card titled "The spring drop", with the button "Take a look". The button opens https://inro.social/?utm_campaign=spring-drop&utm_content=campaign-launch, an example address with two UTM tags: utm_campaign and utm_content. Swap in your launch page and keep tags of your own, and your analytics can tell this launch from your other traffic.

The card has no subtitle and no image. Both are optional, and if you leave a field blank Inrō can fill it from the linked page. The link arrives as a tappable card, not as raw text in the message.

3. A tap files them in a folder

Inrō counts every tap on the button, per contact. The campaign's Insights show Clicked on this step, and any number above zero opens the list of contacts behind it. Each person who taps goes into the folder "The spring drop: clicked", and a "Clicked conversion link" filter finds them again later.

What Inrō counts is taps on your link. It does not count orders, so use your own store or site analytics for what happens after the tap.

4. What the 7 days does

The link card waits 7 days before its "link hasn't been clicked" branch would run. A new link step waits 3 days by default, so this template sets a longer wait for a launch. Nothing is attached to that branch, so add a short message there if you want one. A tap after the 7 days still counts and still files the person in the folder.

What to change before you send it

The campaign arrives as a draft with no audience. Choose who gets it first, then replace the example text and link. The guide to Instagram DM campaigns covers sending in general.

Check six things before you press send:

  1. Choose your audience. Pick a folder or a segment: your waitlist, or people who engaged with your launch posts. You can also pick all reachable contacts, and leave out any folder or segment. Only contacts Inrō can message receive a campaign. You can also leave out contacts who received a campaign in the last 72 hours (Inrō help center, checked 23 October 2026).
  2. Replace the example text and link. Change "The spring drop is out now." in the message, the card title "The spring drop" and the button "Take a look". Replace https://inro.social/?utm_campaign=spring-drop&utm_content=campaign-launch with your launch page, and keep or rename the two UTM tags with the UTM link generator.
  3. Check the folder and the 7 days. Rename "The spring drop: clicked" if you like. Keep the 7 days, change it, or add a message to the "not clicked" branch.
  4. Choose what happens when someone replies. Decide before you send whether a reply stops the campaign for that person, and whether an automation of yours takes over.
  5. Send a test to yourself. Open the arrow next to "Send campaign", choose "Send a test" and pick yourself. Only you receive it.
  6. Send now or schedule it. Choose between sending right now and scheduling it for launch morning.

Your audience is fixed the moment you press send. People who join your folder afterwards do not receive this campaign. Read more about DM campaigns in Inrō.

Best tips for your scenario

  • Send to people who already know you. A folder built from a waitlist template, or from people who engaged with your launch posts, is your warmest audience. The campaign reaches only the contacts you pick, once each.
  • Test it on yourself the night before. Look at the announcement, the card and the button on your own phone, and tap through to your launch page.
  • Put your real launch page in the link and keep the UTM tags. Name them for this launch. Inrō shows you the taps, and your own analytics show the visits that follow.
  • Schedule it for launch morning. Set the date and time ahead. Add people to your folder before you press send, because your audience is fixed at that moment.
  • Follow up with both groups. Message the people in "The spring drop: clicked" yourself. For people who did not tap, add one message to the 7 day branch, or send a short second campaign to the same folder and leave the clicked folder out under "Don't send campaign to".

FAQ

Who receives the launch campaign?

Only the contacts you choose, minus anyone you leave out, and only contacts Inrō can message. The template arrives with no audience, so you pick it before you send.

Can I see who tapped the button?

Yes. The campaign's Insights show Clicked on the link step, and any number above zero opens the list of contacts. Each person who taps is also added to the folder "The spring drop: clicked".

Does it show how many sales I made?

No. It counts taps on your link, not orders. The link carries UTM tags, so your own analytics can count the visits that follow.

Can I schedule it for launch morning, and test it first?

You can send it now or schedule it. Either way, send a test to yourself first with "Send a test" next to "Send campaign".
