Five campaigns worth stealing

Each of these is a sequence, not a single message. That's the part that makes them work.

What you get to build with

Everything a campaign needs, including the parts that stop it annoying people.

Send to everyone at once

One message out to a whole segment, or to every contact you have. No copy and paste, no sending it by hand.

Pick the audience by behaviour

Filter by what people actually did: commented on a post, replied to a story, clicked a link, bought before, or never bought.

Send a voice note

Twenty seconds of your actual voice, to thousands of people. Images, videos and your own posts and reels work the same way.

Sequences, not blasts

Launch, reminder, last chance, with delays between and different paths depending on who clicked.

Sell inside the message

Product cards, payment links and booking buttons, so nobody has to leave the conversation to buy.

See who did what

Sent, read, clicked, replied, converted, at every step. Click any number to get the list of contacts behind it.

It stops when they reply

Someone answers and the campaign stops sending to them. Hand them to an automation or take over yourself. Nobody gets messaged twice.

Create a DM campaign in minutes

Four screens, and it's out.

1

Choose your audience

Filter your contacts by what they did, or describe the audience in a sentence and let Inrō build the filter. You see the count before you send.
2

Write the sequence

Messages, delays and questions. Drop in links, product cards or a voice note, the same as you'd send by hand. Or describe the campaign and have it drafted.
3

Send it or schedule it

Now, or a date and time you pick. Test it on a few contacts first.
4

Watch it land

Sent, read, clicked, replied, converted, updating as it goes. Pause or cancel mid-send if something looks wrong.

Who runs these

Different lists, same problem. The announcement never reaches the people who would have acted on it.

Creators

Your freebie, your affiliate drop, your new product. To the people who comment on everything, not to whoever the algorithm picked that day.

Coaches and experts

The same ladder every month: launch, Friday reminder, Sunday reminder, last call, plus a separate flow for people who registered and didn't show.

Artists and labels

Presaves, tour dates segmented by city, merch drops. And a twenty-second voice note to forty thousand fans, which nothing else online lets you do.

Brands and e-commerce

Restocks and new collections, then a follow-up aimed only at the people who clicked the product and didn't check out.

Questions people ask before their first send

Can I send the same campaign every month?

Not from a campaign itself. A campaign sends once, now or at a time you schedule. For something on a repeating schedule, use the recurring trigger on an automation. It fires daily, weekly or monthly against an audience you define with the same contact filters.

What happens if I hit Instagram's sending limits?

The campaign stops and its status changes to limit reached, rather than failing quietly. Once the limit clears you can resend to just the contacts who were capped, without starting the whole campaign again.

Can the same person be messaged twice by one campaign?

No. A contact can only ever have one execution per campaign. The contact list also locks at send time, so anyone who starts matching your filter halfway through is not swept into a send already in progress.

What happens if someone replies to a campaign?

You can set the campaign to stop for that contact the moment they message or reply, and optionally hand them to an automation instead. So a real conversation never gets interrupted by the next scheduled message in the sequence.

How many campaigns can I send on the free plan?

Three a month. You can send them immediately on the free plan, but scheduling a campaign for a later date needs Pro. Pro also removes the monthly limit.

What's the typical open and reply rate for Instagram DM campaigns?

Instagram DM campaigns sent through Inrō see approximately a 90% open rate, 60% reply rate, and 28% CTR on links — based on Inrō customer data (2024–2025). These rates are significantly higher than email because recipients have prior context with your brand and are receiving the message in a channel they actively check.

How are Inrō DM campaigns different from ManyChat broadcasts?

ManyChat broadcasts on Instagram are limited by Meta's 24-hour messaging window, meaning you can only message users who have engaged with you in the last 24 hours. Inrō DM campaigns work within Meta's official API but include audience segmentation, multi-step sequences with branching, and conversion-block features (product cards, payment links, booking buttons) that ManyChat doesn't offer for Instagram. In practice, this means Inrō can run actual product launches, multi-day nurture sequences, and re-engagement campaigns — not just one-off broadcasts.

What is the difference between a DM campaign and comment-to-DM automation?

Comment-to-DM automation sends a DM immediately when someone takes a specific action (commenting a keyword, replying to a Story, or tapping a DM button). It is triggered in real time, one contact at a time. A DM campaign is a proactive send to a pre-built segment of existing contacts, used for launches, re-engagement, promotions, or nurture sequences. Both work together: automation captures contacts, campaigns re-engage them later.

Is mass DMing on Instagram safe?

Yes — Inrō DM campaigns operate through Meta's official API with natural send pacing and audience segmentation. Campaigns are sent only to contacts who have previously interacted with your content, which makes messages relevant rather than cold. Unofficial bulk DM tools that bypass the API carry real account risk; Inrō eliminates that risk entirely.

How do you send a DM campaign on Instagram?

To send a DM campaign on Instagram you need a Business or Creator account connected to a Meta-approved tool. In Inrō: build your contact segment by filtering for engagement type, recency, or tags; write your message with personalisation fields like first name or custom attributes; set your send schedule; and launch. Inrō throttles send speed automatically to stay within Instagram's safe limits.

What is an Instagram DM campaign?

An Instagram DM campaign is a targeted message sent to a selected group of contacts through Instagram Direct. Unlike a broadcast to all followers, a DM campaign uses segmentation (filtering contacts by past behaviour, engagement history, or tags) to send the right message to the right people at the right time. Inrō's DM campaigns are built on Meta's official API, making them fully compliant with Instagram's terms of service.

Can I choose who receives each campaign?

Yes. You can filter by tags, last actions, campaigns they’ve seen, and more—so each campaign only goes to the right people.

How many people can I include in a DM Campaign?

You can target any segment from your Smart Inbox & CRM, within Instagram’s messaging and rate-limit policies. Inrō automatically handles pacing to keep things safe.
