Thank fans who love your posts

Want to thank the people who leave kind comments on your posts without typing the same reply again and again? This template thanks them for you and keeps a list of your fans.

Thank fans who love your posts
About

A heart or a "love this" under any of your posts gets a thank-you reply and a like, and the fan joins your list. Copy the template.

Someone leaves a heart, a fire emoji or "love this" under one of your posts. A minute later, Inrō answers under their comment with a short thank-you and likes the comment. The person then joins your folder "Thanks: praised us", your list of fans. Each fan is thanked at most once a week.

Inrō flow: All posts comment trigger with emoji keywords, one-minute wait, five thank-you replies, Thanks: praised us folder

What the template does, step by step

1. Someone leaves a kind comment on any post

The flow watches all your posts, including the ones you publish later, so there is no date to set. It reacts to comments that contain one of ten keywords: five emojis, ❤️ 😍 🔥 👏 🙌, and five short compliments, "love this", "love it", "amazing", "beautiful" and "so good". One keyword is enough.

An emoji counts anywhere in the comment, alone or among words, and repeated: "❤️❤️❤️" and "So proud 🔥" both match. A clapping or raised-hands emoji matches in any skin tone. Words match as whole words, in capitals or not, with accents ignored: "Love this!", "I LOVE IT" and "beautifull" all match, "lovely" does not.

Only top-level comments start the flow, not replies inside a thread. Your own comments never do.

2. Inrō waits one minute

The flow waits 1 minute after the comment, then answers.

3. A thank-you reply and a like

Inrō replies publicly under the comment with one of five thank-you replies, picked at random so the same words do not repeat down the thread:

Five thank-you replies in the Inrō flow, from Thank you so much! to Thanks for the kind words
  • "Thank you so much!"
  • "Thanks, really appreciate it"
  • "Thank you! 🙂"
  • "So glad you liked it, thank you"
  • "Thanks for the kind words"

It also likes the comment. The replies are the ones written in the step, so the template uses no AI and no AI credits.

4. The fan joins your list

Inrō adds the person to the folder "Thanks: praised us". When you copy the template, Inrō creates that folder in your account, or reuses one with the same name. The "Show love to kind messages" template adds people to the same folder, so if you run both, kind comments and kind messages fill one list of fans.

Each fan is thanked once a week at most. A second matching comment from the same person within the week gets no reply and no like, so nobody gets thanked twice in a row.

What to change before you turn it on

The trigger comes set up: comments that contain one of the ten keywords, on all your posts, top-level comments only. Nothing needs filling in: no link, no email address and no date to reset.

Comment trigger in Inrō: All posts, Comments with keyword(s) showing heart, heart-eyes and fire emojis and +7

Check five things before you go live:

  1. The five replies. Open the reply step and rewrite them in your voice. Keep several, since Inrō picks one at random for each comment.
  2. The keywords. Open the comment trigger and add the emojis and words your audience uses in "Enter comment keywords". The field notes: "Uppercase and accents are ignored and you can use emojis." Remove any word another of your automations already listens for.
  3. Negative comments. A comment that contains a keyword matches even when it is unhappy, like "not so good" or "I don't love it". Turn on "Exclude hateful and negative comments" in the trigger so those get no thank-you. It costs no AI credits.
  4. The folder. Keep "Thanks: praised us" or pick a folder name that fits your account.
  5. The weekly limit. "Limit frequency per contact" runs the scenario once every 7 days per contact. Change the number if you want to thank regular fans more or less often.

Best tips for your scenario

  • Write replies people would expect from you. Use the words and emojis you already use when you answer by hand, and keep each reply as short as the five in the template.
  • Keep the keywords specific. A keyword counts anywhere in a comment, so a broad word like "amazing" also matches "is it amazing for beginners?", which is a question, not praise. Prefer emojis and phrases that only praise.
  • Give each comment one reply when you also run AI replies. The "Reply to comments with AI" template answers praise too, so a comment such as "Love this! Where can I buy it?" can match both. Put both automations in a priority folder: a folder of automations where only the highest one in the list runs when several match the same comment.
  • Use your fan list. The folder "Thanks: praised us" in your Inrō inbox and contacts keeps everyone the template thanked. When you have something new to share, send that folder a DM campaign.
  • Thank the comments you already have. Once the scenario is active, use "Trigger on existing comments" in the trigger to run it on matching comments from the last 7 days. Comments that already started it do not start it again.

FAQ

How do I say thank you to comments on Instagram?

Keep it short and answer under the comment. This template does it for you: it posts one of five replies, such as "Thank you so much!" or "Thanks for the kind words", and likes the comment.

Does it reply on every post?

Yes. It watches all your posts, including the ones you publish later, and answers top-level comments that contain one of its keywords, once a week per fan.

Does it send a DM?

No. The thank-you is public, in the comment thread, together with a like. The person is added to your folder "Thanks: praised us" and gets no message. To send people a DM when they comment, use Inrō's comment to DM feature instead.

Does a negative comment with a heart get thanked?

By default, yes: any comment that contains a keyword matches, whatever it says around it. A heart counts anywhere, and "not so good" matches "so good". Turn on "Exclude hateful and negative comments" in the trigger so unhappy comments are left alone.
