A DM payment link is a card Inrō sends in an Instagram DM that asks a contact to pay an amount you set. The contact taps Pay, a payment page opens, and Stripe takes the payment. You ask for the money in the conversation that made the sale.
First, set up your payment account under Payment settings: connect Stripe and pick your country and currency.
Then add the Payment link step to a flow. It sits in the Conversions section of the step picker, in a scenario or a DM campaign. Pick an amount. You can also send one by hand from a conversation with Request payment.
The contact gets a card titled Payment required, with the amount, a line saying you sent a payment link, and a Pay button. Pay opens a payment page where Stripe's own form, the Stripe Payment Element (checked 1 October 2026), takes the payment. If you add a link to your terms in Payment settings, the contact has to accept them before paying.
The step has no paid or unpaid branches, and the flow does not wait for the payment. The next step runs as soon as the card is sent.
To follow up with people who have not paid, use the Payment link contact filter with the status awaiting, then send them a DM campaign.
No. An Inrō payment link charges one fixed amount, once, in your payment settings' currency. There is no recurring option.
Stripe's own Payment Links product can sell a subscription (Stripe Payment Links documentation, checked 1 October 2026). To sell one, create the link in Stripe and send it with a Conversion link step, which also tracks the click.
Payment links are a Pro feature, and Inrō checks your plan each time the step runs. On the Free plan the step is skipped and no card is sent. See Inrō plans and prices.
