A DM booking link is a scheduling link sent inside an Instagram DM when a contact asks to book. In Inrō, the Calendly link step sends it as a card, then branches on whether the contact books.
A DM booking link is a link to your booking page, sent inside an Instagram DM at the moment a contact asks to book. In Inrō it is the Calendly link step: your automation sends a card for one of your Calendly event types, then branches on whether the contact books.
A booking link in your bio is the same for every visitor and tells you nothing about who tapped it. A link in a DM goes to one contact, right after they ask. Send it from a scenario, for example a comment-to-DM automation, or from DM campaigns. For how clinics turn DMs into booked consults, see Inrō for aesthetic clinics.
The contact receives a card with:
A tap goes through an Inrō link first, which counts the click, then opens your Calendly booking page with utm_source=instagram and utm_medium=inro_link added. Calendly supports these UTM tags for source tracking (Calendly help, checked 1 October 2026).
The step sends a message, so it counts toward your contact activations.
When Calendly reports the booking, Inrō matches it to the DM that carried the link and marks that message converted. The step shows Sent, Read, Clicked and Converted counts; click one to see the contacts behind it.
The flow then takes the When contact books a meeting branch, where you can send a confirmation or move the contact into a folder. A contact who has not booked takes the If contact hasn't booked after branch when the wait ends. A new step waits 3 days, which you can change (Inrō flow builder, checked 1 October 2026). Use that branch for one reminder.
