A contact activation is the unit Inrō bills on: a contact counts once per billing period, the first time an automation, a DM campaign or the AI agent acts on them. DMs you send by hand never count.
A contact activation is what Inrō bills you for. A contact is activated once per billing period, the first time an automation, a DM campaign or the AI agent acts on them. DMs you send by hand never count, and storing a contact in your CRM costs nothing.
A contact is activated by the first thing Inrō does for them in the billing period:
These never activate a contact:
Once per billing period. After the first activation, every message, automation, campaign or AI reply that follows for that contact in the same period adds no new activation. If you reach the same contact again in a later period, they count again.
The count resets on your billing date, not on the 1st of the month. You can follow it on the Activated contacts meter under Profile, Subscription & add-ons.

On the Free plan you can activate 100 contacts a month (Inrō pricing, September 2026). Once you reach 100, your automations and campaigns stop reaching new contacts until the count resets or you upgrade.
A paid Pro monthly plan has no cap: activations are metered, and your monthly price follows how many contacts you activated. The 14-day Pro trial is capped at 1,000 activated contacts and the Annual plan at 10,000 a month (Inrō billing, September 2026). On every capped plan, your limit shows on the meter. For the plans on sale today, see Inrō plans and prices.
No. Active contact is the name ManyChat gives its billing unit, and its own entry covers how that works. A contact activation is Inrō's unit: one count per contact per billing period, only when Inrō's automation acts.
