A batch task is how Inrō sends a DM campaign to a long list of contacts. When you send one of your DM campaigns in Inrō, Inrō saves the exact list of contacts it will reach, then starts the campaign for them 1,000 contacts at a time.
Pressing Send campaign on a DM campaign starts the batch task. A scheduled campaign starts one at its scheduled time, and so does a send through the Inrō API or the Inrō MCP server.
Each batch takes the next 1,000 contacts on the saved list (Inrō product, checked 1 October 2026). Each contact gets the campaign once, and Inrō works through the list until it is done.
Inrō reads your audience once, at send time, and keeps that list for the whole send. For a scheduled campaign, that is the scheduled time, not the moment you scheduled it.
A contact who joins the folder or matches the segment later is not added. The fixed list gives the send a fixed total, so its progress has a clear end and nobody joins a send that is already half done. To reach contacts who arrived later, send another campaign.
While it runs, a progress bar shows in the sidebar with the campaign name. The bar moves a batch at a time, so a large send jumps in steps of up to 1,000.
There is no pause button. Cancel campaign stops the send: contacts not yet reached do not get it. Messages already sent stay sent.
If your account reaches its plan's cap on contact activations mid-send, the remaining runs are marked Limit reached, and the campaign offers Resend to these contacts.
No. The batch size sets how much work Inrō prepares at once, not how fast messages go out. Meta's own caps on sending are a separate matter, explained under Instagram rate limit. Every other term is in the Inrō automation glossary.
