For selling in Instagram DMs, Inrō is the Instagram-native Stan Store alternative: when someone comments or replies to a story, it sends the product or checkout link in the DM and answers questions before they buy. It is not a store and hosts no courses, so to replace the store, Beacons gives you a free storefront, Gumroad sells files with no monthly fee, and Podia or Kajabi host courses. Prices were read on each vendor's own page on 28 October 2026.

Pick Inrō if your sales start in Instagram DMs, since it sends the product or checkout link there (it is not a store); for the store itself, pick Beacons to start free, Gumroad for no monthly fee, or Podia or Kajabi to host courses.
How to choose: ask where each sale closes. If buyers pay on a checkout page, compare a flat monthly price with a fee on every sale (a flat plan wins once sales are steady); if they buy after a conversation in Instagram DMs, Inrō, which answers that DM, matters more than the store.
Stan Store has no free plan. After the 14-day trial you pay at least $29 a month, or $300 a year, for Creator before your first sale (Stan's pricing page, 28 October 2026). Creator covers a lot for that price. The reasons sellers look elsewhere sit on top of it:
Even Stan's own alternatives post lists reasons to look elsewhere: a tool that fits your existing website, a free plan, more design control, podcast hosting or long-form sales pages. Payouts also take a few days: sales show as "Available Soon" while Stripe settles them, typically about two business days and up to seven depending on where you are, says Stan's help center. Some recent low reviews on Trustpilot mention that wait (read 28 October 2026).
Inrō is first because it handles the part of selling that happens inside Instagram: it answers comments, story replies, DMs, live comments, mentions and icebreakers, sends the product, checkout or booking link in the conversation, and follows up with people who did not click. It is not a store.
The other four replace the store, each for a different job. Where they sell something Inrō lacks, here is what Inrō has: no email marketing, but DM campaigns and a CRM with tags and segments; no course hosting or community space; no booking page, but on Pro it sends Calendly booking links and its AI agent can schedule a call during the conversation using Calendly; no storefront, but it sends the link to your own checkout page, or on Pro a Shopify product link, in the DM.
Inrō holds official Meta Tech Provider status and uses the official Instagram API. Its comment-to-DM flows get an 18.6% click rate in Inrō's own production data. Free is measured in activated contacts, while Pro is metered with no cap by default, though you can set a monthly limit of your own; work out which plan suits your sales.

How we picked them: each tool replaces one job Stan Store does for a creator who sells, and every price, fee and plan detail comes from the tool's own pricing or help pages, read on 28 October 2026. We left out any tool whose pricing page we could not open.

Replace one AutoDM reply with a flow that asks, sends the link and follows up
When someone comments your keyword or replies to a story, Inrō sends the product link as a button, nudges anyone who has not clicked, and its AI agent answers questions. Free covers 100 activated contacts a month and 3 active automations.
Free plan, no card
Stan is still the right tool for some sellers. Inrō has no storefront, course builder or booking page (it sends Calendly links in the DM on Pro), so stay if:
Not sure whether the sale should start from your bio link or a DM? Sketch both with the link-in-bio DM funnel planner.
Start with where your buyers pay: on a checkout page, or after a conversation in the DM.
If they pay on a checkout page, move to another store: rebuild your products, test the checkout, then change your bio link. Stan has no pause: you cancel and can reactivate later (Stan's help center, 28 October 2026). Do not count on a customer export: we found no Stan help article on it.
If the sale closes in the DM, Inrō sends your product or checkout link there, or on Pro a Shopify product link. It is not a store and hosts no courses. Turn Stan AutoDM off before Inrō's comment-to-DM goes on: never run two auto-DM tools on one account, and Stan's help center says the same from its side. Then start from the comment-for-link template.
Yes. For selling in Instagram DMs, Inrō's Free plan covers 100 activated contacts a month and 3 active automations, with no card; it sends the product link in the DM but is not a store. For a free store, Beacons' free plan sells unlimited digital products with a 9% seller fee (Beacons' pricing page), and Gumroad has no monthly fee and takes 10% + $0.50 per direct sale (Gumroad's pricing page), both read on 28 October 2026.
It depends on how much you sell. Stan Creator is a flat $29 a month (Stan's pricing page), Beacons Creator is $10 a month with a 9% seller fee (Beacons' pricing page and help center), and Gumroad takes 10% + $0.50 per direct sale (Gumroad's pricing page), all read on 28 October 2026. Small sales cost less on Gumroad or Beacons, steady sales less on Stan. For where Beacons sellers go next, see Beacons alternatives.
Only if you will use what it adds. At $99 a month, Creator Pro adds email broadcasts and flows, funnels, upsells, discount codes, affiliates and ad pixels (Stan's help center, 28 October 2026). To reach past buyers again on Instagram, Inrō's DM campaigns send to a segment of your contacts; Inrō sends no email. If email is the reason, Beacons Creator includes 500 email sends a month for $10 (Beacons' pricing page, read the same day).
For the DM side, yes: Inrō answers comments, story replies and DMs with a trackable link, follows up with people who did not click, and its AI agent can answer questions or book a call. It is not a store, and it replaces AutoDM rather than running beside it. Comparing DM tools on cost? Try the Inrō vs ManyChat cost calculator.
For selling, yes: Stan's Creator plan includes products, courses and bookings (Stan's help center), while Linktree sells digital products, bookings and courses at a price only on Pro ($17 a month, $14 billed annually) and Premium (Linktree's pricing page), both checked 28 October 2026. If you only need a page of links, Linktree alternatives compares the tools for that job.
