A Live comment trigger is an Inrō automation trigger that starts a scenario when someone comments during your Instagram Live, on any comment or only on comments with your keyword, so the viewer gets a DM mid-broadcast.
A Live comment trigger starts an Inrō scenario when someone comments during your Instagram Live. It fires on any comment, or only on comments that include your keyword. The flow then sends that viewer a DM while you keep talking, which is what Instagram Live comment automation means in practice.
In the flow builder, add a trigger and pick "Someone comments on your Live". It sits with the comment triggers. You then choose one of two options:
Your own comments on the Live never start it. The first DM goes to the viewer as a private reply to their comment, the same mechanism as comment to DM on a post or Reel.
For Instagram Live, a private reply can only be sent during the broadcast. Once the broadcast ends, it cannot be sent at all (Meta for Developers, private replies, checked 1 October 2026). Meta also sends Inrō the Live comment notifications only while you are broadcasting (Meta for Developers, webhooks).
The usual private reply limits apply too. The commenter gets one message, and a follow-up can go only after they respond, within 24 hours of that response (same Meta page, checked 1 October 2026).

Inrō cannot post a public reply to a Live comment, and it cannot hide one. On a post, a scenario can answer the comment in public and then send the DM. On a Live, only the DM goes out. Say the keyword out loud, so viewers know what to type.
To run the same play on posts and Reels, with a public reply as well, use Inrō's comment-to-DM automation. For replies to your Stories, the entry point is the story reply trigger.
The Live comment trigger is part of Pro, and the Pro trial includes it. The Free plan locks it: a scenario that uses it does not fire on Free.
